About Us

The Haven is a community where Christian women of all ages can come together to grow their faith, overcome emotional wounds, connect online, and learn how to trust God in order to walk heart-forward with Him.

"Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. ." -Deuteronomy 4:9

At the Haven, we focus on soul care. If you're unfamiliar with the term, it is important to note what "soul care" isn't. Soul care is not the same as "self-care" or "self-love", which are buzz words currently floating around in social media circles. 

Soul care is different. It is the ongoing work of nourishing and nurturing one's soul. This means that we focus on cultivating the place where the heart, mind, and will intersects. It is a shared work between ourselves and the Holy Spirit. We work in concert with Him, cooperating and collaborating with the life-giving and soul-tending Spirit of Christ who dwells within us.

By being a community member at the Haven, you will receive access to:

• Self-paced workshops and articles which encourage and educate you in the journey of caring for your soul and growing your faith
• A safe and supportive group of women who are also learning to walk heart-forward with God free from social media distractions and drama.
• Regular polls and questions that help you to cultivate self-reflection and highlight the practical application of Scripture.

The Haven does not offer therapy or counseling. It is a faith-focused community which highlights growing in self-awareness, Biblical understanding, and one's relationship with God.

Meet Your Host

Amanda Schenkenberger is a certified Life Coach through Achology, the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology.

Since 2015, Amanda has been a Bible journaling instructor. She has written 100s of devotionals + Bible studies, and she has hosted numerous challenges to help lead thousands of women in reading the Bible to be transformed through Scripture and God's presence.

But the most important thing isn't Amanda's credentials: it's that she's been there. Amanda has overcome anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, OCD, panic attacks, and more all through renewing her mind to Scripture and the power of God.

Now, she wants to help you overcome the same challenges that use to control her life. But it is only a journey we can go on with God. Will you join us?
